You have to take the first step of a very long journey. Make it small and manageable. Make it realistic. Be responsible. And know that you will fail. Be humble in your pursuits to better yourself. Make yourself valuable because you’re the only one who can achieve that. No one else. Start slow and small and be your own solution. Stop looking outside yourself for the antidote. You know who you are, you know the depths. Look at it straight on. Open up to awareness. All of it. Mostly the failures. Then you have a place to aim. One or two steps ahead of you is plenty because it can be maintained and cultivated. And then, keep it up.
Yoga is meditation and the quiet stretch of mind that I long for every morning. To help me on this journey is Boho Beautiful. Juliana and Mark travel the world and produce stunning, inspirational videos to keep you motivated and in shape. This couple's home is Canada, are currently road-tripping across the U.S.
Juliana's story is particularly inspiring, a former gymnast from the Ukraine, she has used yoga and pilates, not to mention traveling, as her cure for a back injury. When I think of bohemian, I picture this woman.
There is something so freeing about letting go of everything and wandering, their "possessions' consist of a van, clothing, the dog Prince and each other.
This place where you are right now
God circled on a map for you.
Wherever your eyes and arms and heart can move
against the earth and the sky,
The Beloved has bowed there –
knowing you were coming.
I could tell you a priceless secret about
your real worth, dear
But any unkindness to yourself
any confusion about others,
Will keep one from accepting
the grace, the love
The sublime freedom
divine knowledge always offers to you.
This is a wondrous truth of the world.
